Fusion Lifestyle is an independent registered charity whose primary objectives are to provide sport and active leisure facilities and services in the interests of social and physical welfare.

This means that all our incoming resources are used to improve and develop all our facilities and activities.  We believe that everyone in the community deserves top quality services at affordable prices.

Our Board of Trustees is voluntary and consists of individuals with corporate skills and an interest in our work, together with stakeholders from various groups and communities. Learn more about how we provide for everyone in the community here. 

This means that we have balanced representation and strong community focus; our board is not dominated by any sector; and we are not owned by anybody, such as employees, shareholders, or private sector organisations.

Since commencing operations in 2000, Fusion has an unbroken record of surplus which has enabled the company to develop a firm asset base and to carry out numerous investments and new business developments.

2011 was another successful year for us. We were delighted to welcome Wycombe District Council, London Borough of Lewisham, Charnwood Borough Council and City of London Corporation as new partners. Read more here. 

Our financial position is stable and our outlook is secure, with long-term agreements and leases in place with a range of partners. We are extremely proud of our management portfolio, having carried out over £110 million of investment into our facilities in recent years, with more exciting new investments planned in the next two years.
 
Fusion’s delivery is quantifiable. During the life of the organisation, there have been a number of key achievements, including:
 
  • significant and sustained increases in general participation
  • significant and sustained increases in participation by our target groups
  • measurable increases in customer satisfaction
  • over 500 new jobs created
  • gaining of ISO9001, 14001 and 18001 certification in respect of management systems
  • gaining of Quest accreditation at over 25 facilities
  • over £20 million investment by Fusion into the facility portfolio
  • consistent financial success with an unbroken record of annual surpluses
  • development of a secure and robust financial position, with net assets in excess of £5 million.
2011 saw:  
  • 12 million visits
  • 1.4 million visits by under 19s
  • 0.9 million visits by over 60s
  • 1.4 million participants in our classes & courses
  • 0.4 million school swimming sessions
  • 1.2 million swimming lessons
